Late 2004, Brawnheads was founded. Friends with a shared passion for music played In the first few years mostly covers from the New Wave / Rock age.
But once they got more and more familiar with each other’s playing styles, their attention quickly shifted to the Indie Rock known today.
Not only the genre changed, also covers slowly made way for their own songs.
And with the expansion of their own repertoire, also their enthusiasm grows. As of 2010 they fully focus on writing and playing their own music. Early 2011 the drummer and guitarist changed, Leon and Pieter completed Brawnheads again. 80’s Wave and Rock influences, combined with the strong lyrics and distinctive voice of singer Fons, the catchy riffs and ‘cutting’ guitar solos of guitarists Jeroen and Leon on a solid basis of bass-player William and drummer Pieter, result in the unique ‘Brawnheads sound’. Live, on stage, the band excels; Brawnheads performance is absolutely worth visiting! |
